Mechanical engineering department and its faculties strive to achieve the college’s vision of “Holistic and Value Based Professional Education by adapting Modern Training methodologies and fulfilling the expectation of students and parents towards continuous improvement in education and placement.

           The mechanical engineering has the blend of faculties with rich industrial experience from BHEL and State Government Departments and Younger post graduates and PhDs with innovative ideas. This is constantly guided by the Director, Dr. V Shanmuganathan, who himself is a doctorate in Mechanical engineering. At present there are 5 Asst. Professors and 5 Lecturers in the department.

           The laboratory is fully sponsored by 12 Master Technicians who are experts in the respective trade who can impart hands-on training to student’s community.

           The first batch of mechanical engineering started in the year 2005-2006 and this will roll out from college in the year 2009.
