Dr. S.R. Balasundaram Professor, NIT-Trichy and Professor D. Ravindran of St.Joseph's College-Trichy conducted One Day Workshop entitled "XML and Webservices" on 17 September 2010. The workshop was organized by the Department of Computer Applications and the Staff and Students of various Engineering and Arts & Science Colleges participated in the workshop along with the final year students of the Department of Computer Science and PG students of the host department. S.Subitha, Associate Professor, coordinated the programme.

H.R Vishwakarma, Honorable Secretary of CSI conducted a Seminar entitled "Research, Innovation and Entrepreneurship through Student Project" on 10 July 2010. The programme was organized by the Department of Computer Applications and the Staff and Students of the department participated in the programme.
