The Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering department has an environmentally cool atmosphere with one professor being the head with three senior lecturers and nine lecturers around; the students will be at ease to practically know the functioning of various equipments and systems what he has studied through theoretically. In addition the lab is provided with a spacious conference hall and department library.

A well-furnished modern Instrumentation Lab is functioning in the Laboratory building of this department. The following Labs are functioning in their individual enclosures with modern floor separated by glass windows and providing a conducive atmosphere for conducting practical experiments.

The Department of Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering is headed by an eminent professor an industrialist having served BHEL Trichy for about 35 years in the field of Control & Instrumentation. The Department is leaded by a team of Faculty members who are very dedicated to the student community and had expertise themselves in various fields of Instrumentation.

Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering of M.A.M. College of Engineering was started in the year 1998. This department is the core department of all the engineering fields as it has the major part in the control room of all industries.

In order to improve the skills of the students and to bring the creativity of the students the department has encouraged students to join international and national association and also the department has its own association.

The department has submitted a proposal to the AICTE for grants to conduct staff development programme on Cloud Computing and also submit the application for MODROBS.

In association with ACES −Student association, department has organizing many events such as panel discussion, Groupdiscussion, Techtalk,Paper presentation,Technicalquiz,Softwaredebugging,Logical Thinking, for the welfare of students to improve their technical skills and their organizing skills. The event receives overwhelming response from the students of various colleges in Tamilnadu.

Department has well equipped laboratories and laboratory facilities are available to the students round the clock. Department has internet facilities (12 MBPS) through BSNL broad band.
