Department of Computer Science and Engineering was established in the year 1998 with the mission to educate students, so that they become enlightened individuals, improving their living standards. CSE shares the mission and vision of the institute in imparting high quality education to the students. Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) is one of the most dynamic departments in the college. As the field of computing plays an increasingly major role in practically all disciplines, we are poised for exciting growth.

The department offers B.E (CSE) from 1998 with current annual intake of 120 & M.E (CSE) with intake of 18. Highly qualified and experienced faculty with specialization in Networking, Algorithms, Data Mining, Mobile Computing, Grid Computing, Cluster Computing, Image Processing, Software Engineering, Database management Systems, Automata Theory, Computer graphics, Web Technology and web services and SOA.

Department has organized a national conference on "Object Oriented Technology" from the year 2004 onwards and "National Conference on Computing Informatics" from the year 2008 onwards. Department also organizing Annual symposium COMBLAZE, Guest lectures on various topics. In association with CSI Trichy Chapter & ISTE student Chapters, Department also Organizing National workshop on Recent Trends on Informatics.

The department has submitted a proposal to the AICTE for grants to conduct staff development programme on Cloud Computing and also submit the application for MODROBS.

In association with ACES −Student association, department has organizing many events such as panel discussion, Groupdiscussion, Techtalk,Paper presentation,Technicalquiz,Softwaredebugging,Logical Thinking, for the welfare of students to improve their technical skills and their organizing skills. The event receives overwhelming response from the students of various colleges in Tamilnadu.

Department has well equipped laboratories and laboratory facilities are available to the students round the clock. Department has internet facilities (16 MBPS) through BSNL broad band.
