Electrical and Electronics Engineering visited The Neyveli Thermal Power Station

The Second and Third year students of the department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering visited The Neyveli Thermal Power Station on 10.9.18. A team of an Assistant Engineer and two more power station Engineers explained the process of power generation in the Power Station. The valuable input given by the team on the amount of power generated, steam turbine, coal input, capacity of the switch yard etc., enlightened the students. The students were enlightened to see the blue print of thermal station and the power plant equipments such as miller machine, bunker, conveyor, pumps, heaters etc., They were awestruck seeing the gigantic size of turbine and Generator.
